Improving outcomes for our pupils is at the core of everything we do, knowing that Learning Changes Lives. Our Values are intrinsic to our work and weave throughout our community to secure the safe, vibrant and aspirational ethos needed to achieve this.
Coaching and mentoring is our preferred method for support together with the CPD opportunities to develop our knowledge and understanding through a variety of ways such as individual or group research, involvement in projects and allowing staff the opportunities to take risks. Believing in our staff to provide the best learning opportunities for our pupils leads to a supportive staff approach that benefits both pupils and staff.
Any school that should wish to join The Whinless Down Academy Trust that is not yet good can expect a supportive and thoughtful programme that will provide the school with the specific tools needed to go on to secure good outcomes. To ensure the standards of education are maintained for all schools within the Trust, each individual school will be expected to support another school should the need arise and providing there is capacity within that school not to affect its own outcomes.
As the Trust grows, the leadership structure will change organically to ensure the capacity to support remains high.
